A Little History About Grape Seed Oil

Grapeseed oil has existed for over 6,000 years. The Old Testament in the Bible tells us
the oil was a substance used in a dish known as Pulse and that the prophet Daniel liked eating this dish for beneficial health reasons. People knew about the health benefits and treatments that grapes and their oil offered.

European healers made an ointment from grape vine sap to treat eye and many skin diseases. The leaves of grapes were used to end bleeding, and soothe inflammation brought on by hemorrhoids. Unripe grapes were used to cure constipation, and ease over-eating. Also, very ripe grapes aided in treating health issues including: cancer, smallpox, nausea, skin, liver and kidney diseases.

The oil began to get attention from scientist beginning in the late 20th century. Their studies showed that grape seed oil, indeed, promoted several benefits for the human health.
